The End Of A Long Road

by Stephanie on November 20, 2008

Today is the day we finally close a chapter in our lives. We close on our home this afternoon, after a year of a roller coaster ride of trying to sell it. While we are happy to be rid of a large mortgage and look forward to moving closer to a debt free life, we are having mixed feelings about it all. After all, it is our home. Now we are renters, and the lack of home ownership has fractured our egos a little. Just living somewhere that isn’t mine feels, well, weird

My stomach is in knots for some strange reason, a mixture of fear and excitement. I am praying that God floods me with peace today and that while we are signing papers I don’t cry in a room full of strangers!

I’ll share a little more later…..

Is it a Good Time to Start a Realtor Mentor Program ?

I’m sure it will all work out. We have always rented and though it bothers my husband somewhat its is nice to know that we will not lose our home because of the housing crisis.

I hope it all works out.

I am sorry that it is bitter sweet for you! I pray that Gods peace is in that room today :)

And I know this isn’t much of a comfort now, but renting isn’t all that bad :) You do what you feel the Lord is leading you to do, and if that is rent, then rent. Getting out of debt is so emotionally challenging, but the reward far supersedes the challenge (and ego bruising!)

Praying for you..
