Today was a wonderfully productive day!
I started out by reading in God’ word with a hot cup of coffee. I finished reading 2 Timothy today. I am so encouraged that even though we are in the days of Godlessness, He promises to raise up a remnant of lovers of Him to shine light into this sin darkened world! May we all heed His mighty call to walk a different path from the world.
After finishing my tea and journaling, and feeding the children, I got to work on my morning routine, sort of. It kind of got all lumped in my quick clean plans! But it got done! I began with the master bathroom:
All cleaned!I love the sunlight that comes into this room, but it doesn’t make for a very good photo!
Now the master bedroom before, sorry another bad photo!
And after the bed is all made, clothing all picked up and put away, room is dusted and vacuumed. I love a freshly vacuumed room! I took it at a different angle this time so it came out a little better!
Off to the kitchen and living room!
The kitchen sink overfloweth!
All clean, for a moment or so!
The living room was probably the better looking room since I picked up a little before bed.
All dusted, vacuumed and picked up. My little pooches are ready for a nap!
We sorted and started the laundry and sat down for Scripture and hymn time. I love this hymn that we are learning this month, Teach me Thy way, O Lord, and have been humming it all day.
Once I had the children all settled with some school work, it was time to do some quick planning. Here is what today had in store for me:
1. Make menu/ grocery list for the week
2. Clip/sort coupons
3. Call oil company (called but did not reach anyone…move to tomorrow)
4. Laundry-wash, dry, fold and put away 2 loads (in progress
)
5. Do groceries
6. Pick up prescriptions
For dinner tonight, we are having roasted chicken with gravy, stuffing and broccoli and chocolate pudding for dessert! Some special touches for our meal are strawberry slices in ice cubes and mixing juice with seltzer water. The children love that! Have you done anything to make your dinner stand out for your family tonight, a special touch that says ” I love you?”
After grocery shopping and putting them all way, I poured a Diet Coke over ice and worked on this post for a while. My house is cleaned and smells so good from the roasting chicken! Dinner is all ready and my husband is on his way home. I love the evenings when we are all together cuddled up in the living room with some snacks and blankets. It makes the whole day worthwhile!
I hope you had a very blessed day making your home a haven for your family! Keep up the good work throughout the week! You will bless your family and the Lord!

I saw your link on Blissfully Domestic, and I’m glad I stopped by. Your day put me to shame. I did some bible reading in Judges, but I didn’t do much cleaning. Good work today!
You have a beautiful home! WOW!
Is there anything better then a clean house and smelling dinner at all once….you should be proud you accomplished tons!
It looks great. Good job.
Great progress today! I bet it feels great to have a clean home.
Kind of makes my venture into vacuuming seem a bit small in comparison. You go Mrs. P31! I’d consider linking this one to Refreshmoments Ruby Tuesdays linky thingy.

WOW. You were super busy. Just reading your post made me tired! I need another super productive day like that – it sure does feel good in the end! Just wish I felt better today so it could happen now! Maybe later this week. Great job – everything looks beautiful!
Loved this post, i just needed to see it today. Plus your home just looks flooded with sunlight, love that!!!
That is amazing! Thanks for the encouraging post…this is where I struggle most…starting the day out right. This is definitely inspiring me to try harder!
Great job today. Your place looks wonderful! Talk about instant gratification. *smile* Stop by my blog, I actually did the list and posted pictures. I like to itemize my lists so I “feel” like I have gotten a lot done. *smile* Today, the list was truly long. *smile* Have a wonderful evening and enjoy a cup of tea from that beautiful pot for me. *smile* Ginger peach is one of my favorites. *smile* Blessings.-me-(Mommy of two little blessings)
