I like to keep my apples in the fridge since there's nothing like a cold crispy apple! For bananas and oranges and the like, I use a decorative colander (good and holey!) and it works a charm! mub’s last blog post..Potato, Green Bean, and Tuna Salad ********************************* Stephanie says: I like cold apples too my teeth have become terribly sensitive these past few years! I didn’t know apples help bananas ripen. Thanks for sharing that little tip. It always seems like our bananas ripen really fast anyway. I’ll have to make sure and keep them away from the apples.

I love that first bowl. I agree. I wouldn’t want to put it away in a cupboard either. I don’t know if it would work for you, but could you use it in the bathroom for storing and displaying pretty soaps or other bath/beauty accessories on the counter or back of the toilet? That was just one thing that came to mind.
