Things I Love: Oceans 3 Vitamins

by Stephanie on June 11, 2009

For the past year, I have been struggling with exhaustion, body aches, moodiness, bouts of depression, extreme PMS and unbearable headaches. The exhaustion became so severe at one point that I was even wondering if I would be able to continue home schooling my children. At 10 in the morning I was falling asleep, and then wanting to sleep again in the afternoon only to barely make it through supper with my eyes open. I was becoming afraid of having to drive any long distances because I didn’t know if I would be able to stay awake!

Finally I decided to go to the doctor. After running through a battery of tests, blood work, even an MRI, nothing real substantial came back. A few tests later and they came to the conclusion that I had a vitamin D deficiency and chronic mono, which is basically chronic fatigue syndrome. The only thing they could “think” to do was to put me on a very strong anti depressant (and vitamin D supplements, which did help a little)

I am not against taking medicine when needed, but I am also very cautious about just putting anything into my body. I try to go natural whenever I can. Needless to say, I wasn’t thrilled about this. However I was so desperate, I did try it for a few days. After a night of horrible hallucinations, I dumped them into the garbage.

I struggled for a few more months, tried a few more things here and there and was really at my wits end. Finally one day I went into a local natural pharmacy and talked to them about my symptoms. They were so helpful, went over a list of different things to try and they recommended I try these new Omega 3 vitamins. I had tried Omega vitamins in the past and didn’t notice a change, but they urged me that these were different. They didn’t come cheap, but I was so desperate I was willing to try anything.

I began taking them, and the first week I was amazed. I almost felt normal again. By the end of the month, I was back to my old self, ambitious, energized, and happy. I was truly amazed at the results. After months and months of suffering and struggling, and trying so many different things I finally found something that worked!

And let me just say that I am not sharing this because I’m getting paid to (I’m not). No way. This stuff has made such a difference in my life I would promote it even if I had to pay them to let me!

Now obviously the natural pharmacy charges quite bit for these vitamins. On their website, they have a $5 off coupon you can print out and use. I have looked around and Amazon (of which I am an affiliate) offers them at a decent price and if you order the 90 count you get free shipping. If you find them any cheaper, please let me know! I have tried a few other sources but the high shipping price usually outweighs the deal.

If you have ever felt as bad as I did, I really encourage you to give these a try! Especially if you struggle with moodiness or bad bouts of PMS. I don’t even notice a difference in my moods around that time of the month, and trust me that is a huge difference from the moody, brawling, crying mess I used to be!  They even have a brand especially formulated for wacky hormones! They are definitely on my list of things to love!

*As a Christian, I also believe illness can be a spiritual attack and would always encourage you to pray and be prayed over if you are having outward signs of sickness, depression or moodiness! If you have a prayer request for these things, please send it to me and I will be more than happy to pray for you!*

Hello, I just bought Oceans 3 today and started taking them, and saw this site after I got home. I am really encouraged now since I am having the same symptoms as you all! Thank you! ;-)

I just started taking these supplements myself after seeing an add in a natural health magazine. I too am a homeschooling mom and suffering from severe fstigue headaches pms. I feel as though I am tired and grumpy all the time and really missing out on life. I did a search on google for “oceans 3″pms” and your site came up. I just started taking them and am encouraged to keep taking them after reading your story. Thanks for sharing!

I am going to check into the Oceans 3 Healthy Hormones as I am entering “that season” of life. Have talked to a couple of different doctors and done some preliminary tests for biodentical hormones, but just wasn’t sure that was what I wanted to try just yet. After going to the Oceans 3 website and reading more about it, I thought I would give it a try for a month. So glad I found this post.

Stephanie, I really enjoyed reading this post. I appreciate what you wrote about the spiritual attacks…they’re very real too. We, as Christians, are definitely in a warfare.
I am very prone to anemia. I eat better in the past 3 years than I’ve ever eaten in all my life, but I still end up having to take high dose prescription iron pills because my iron dips so low. I have my levels re-checked next month. If they’re back up, I think I’m going to try some type of daily supplement. I’m checking these out for sure! Thank you for posting this. It was very helpful. :)

Interesting. I take some fish oil… wonder if this would be a more “well-rounded” vitamin. Need to look in to it.
