Hello fellow homemakers! I hope you had a great day making your home a haven today!
I had a horrible headache and stomach ache today, so I let go of some afternoon projects in favor of a nap
I still got quite a bit done though:
1) Begin Your day in God’s Word
My husband went into work late this morning so we were able to spend some extra time together. That is always a treat! After he left I only had a short time before the children were to get up, so I only had time to read Proverbs 16 (the Proverb of the day!). I found verse 3 very encouraging:
Commit to the LORD whatever you do,
and your plans will succeed
A reminder that my day would be successful if it were committed to Him!
2) Complete Your Morning Routine
The morning routine. How well it works when all goes as planned! This morning I had to do some readjusting of our routine. My mom stopped in for a quick visit, the puppies were really whiny, and other interruptions along the way. So all did not go as planned, but that is ok!
My mom blessed me witha new holiday candle-
mmm smells so good!
3) Have A Plan
I had fun finding some recipes to use up our turkey from a delicous feast my husband made for us yesterday. I made out a short to do list, wrote down my goals and projects for the week as well. Here was my to do list today:
My list today:
1. Dust
2. Sweep and wash floors
3. Do 3 loads of laundry- only got 2 done
4. Exercise- didn’t do because of my aching head and tummy
5. Make appointment for tire change- Oops, forgot to do this!
6. Make menu plan and grocery list
4) What’s For Dinner?
We are having Thanksgiving Casserole, bread and butter for dinner and cookies for dessert.
5) Complete a Project!
I decided to head outside this afternoon and make up my window boxes for Christmas. I thought the fresh air would make me feel better (and it did!). I had my little helper cut down some berries and evergreen for me.

And then the mail brought me this lovely little magazine.
A cup of herbal tea (or hot chocolate if you choose!) and a new magazine- perfect way to end the day!
How was your day today?

Your window boxes are beautiful!
Cindy´s last blog: Having an attitude of gratitude
It’s kind of something I made up with the leftovers. I plan on posting the recipe soon!
What is Thanksgiving casserole? I’ve never heard of it before, but sounds yummy!
