Thanksgiving (Leftover) Casserole

by Stephanie on November 24, 2009

Since we are traveling for Thanksgiving this year, we decided to have our very own turkey dinner together last weekend. I love having all those turkey leftovers to get creative with, and came up with this casserole that my husband says was better than the original meal!  So at your Thanksgiving dinner, be sure to snag up some leftovers and make this yummy dish!

mb

Thanksgiving Casserole

4 c. of leftover turkey

1 can of cream of chicken soup

2 c. of leftover vegetables ( I used carrots)

3/4 cups of milk

1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese

3 cups of leftover stuffing

1 cup of leftover gravy

Combine the soup and milk and add turkey and vegetables. Scoop into a 9x 13 baking dish and cover with cheese. Put stuffing on top and bake on 350 for 30 minutes. Heat up gravy and pour over casserole and serve.

If you end up having a lot of mashed potatoes leftover, make this Tastes Like Thanksgiving Casserole recipe from Taste of Home!

Hi I have a quick question. I'm wanting to make a green bean casserole for thanksgiving but my husband doesn't like mushrooms?

I just tried this recipe. It is great. I put mashed potatoes on the bottom and used corn instead of carrots! Thanks!!

Glad that you liked it! Mashed potatoes, that is a great idea! I am thinking this can turn out to be a very flexible recipe. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed it!

That was so good. My husband told me twice how good dinner was! I also told my Mom to make it. Wonderful use of leftovers.
