One thing that continually amazes me is that things that are natural, healthy and home made usually cost less. I find this to be true with food and now: home made cleaners.

My goal has been to eliminate all chemical cleaners from my home, and since I am not about to spend the money on those organic natural cleaners I had to figure out how to make them on my own.

The results? I will never, ever go back to store bought cleaners. These cleaners work great, are cheap, and won’t kill my lungs or cause Alzheimer’s or whatever else.

I use a homemade floor cleaner (for laminate flooring), a window cleaner that is more like an all purpose cleaner, and baking soda. I clean my whole house with these three things (and some rags!)

I don’t know if everyone considers Ammonia “natural” but it is used in such small quantities I cannot even smell it. Any alternatives? I am all ears!

I purchased some inexpensive spray bottles at the dollar store. I love these things because you can adjust the stream and they are easy to squeeze. I wrote the “recipe” right on the bottle, so when I need to make more I can just refer to that instead of searching for what I need or relying on my memory.

It works for me!
